It is Christmas Eve and as my daughter takes her afternoon nap, before we head to Mass, I decided to write a big thank you to my sister, Brooke Bailey, from On A Whim Photography for taking these pictures of home at Christmas time.
I can still remember {like it was yesterday} being 10 years old, running into my sibling’s room and screaming “wake up! Wake up! Santa came!” I can still remember the smell of coffee brewing and my dad playing Christmas music before we covered the living room in wrappings and boxes. And then of course the video camera was brought out and all of our laughter and smiles were captured. Growing up, Christmas held some of my greatest moments in life. Thinking back on these memories and how close they feel is a reminder of how precious life is. This Christmas I’m carrying my second child, I have a sweet angel snug in the next room, and a wonderful husband. My siblings are grown and my parents are grandparents. Life is a blink and I’m reminding myself to hold on to every moment because just like “yesterday” time will pass us by. Merry Christmas to all and thank you to those that have been following me or continue to follow on my décor journey!
